You do not always need to erase everything. This page explains how to delete something specific while keeping your account: a child profile that no longer applies, an abandoned routine, a history you would rather not keep.
To erase your whole account, go to the account deletion page instead.
1. Delete a child profile
- Open Dikivo and select the child concerned.
- Open their edit sheet from the child selector.
- At the bottom of the sheet, choose Delete this profile.
- Retype the child's first name to confirm.
Deleting a child profile also erases all their routines, completions, stars, rewards and progress history. The action is immediate and permanent.
2. Delete a routine or a step
- A routine is deleted from its own sheet, in the child's routine list.
- A step card is deleted while editing the routine.
- Deleting a routine erases its completion history and the stars attached to it.
3. Remove a second parent from the household
Removing an adult from the household is requested from the household settings. The removed account immediately loses access to the children and the routines. Their own account is not deleted: they must request that separately.
4. Turn notifications off
Reminders are turned on and off in Dikivo's settings. Turning them off deletes the notification token tied to that device.
5. By email
If you cannot complete the deletion in the app, write to contact@dikivo.app from your account email address, stating:
- the subject “Partial data deletion”;
- exactly what should be deleted (child's first name, routine name, period concerned);
- the email address linked to your account.
We handle the request within one month at most, in line with article 12 GDPR, and confirm once it is done.
6. Your other rights
Beyond deletion, you may request access to your data, its rectification, its portability in a structured format, restriction of a processing operation, or object to it. Details are in the privacy policy.
7. What cannot be deleted
- Billing records tied to a subscription, kept for 10 years as an accounting obligation.
- Technical security logs, kept for 12 months at most.
- Aggregated statistics, which can no longer identify you.
